2 companies charged over unregistered Penang beauty clinic

RR Beaute Solution and CTA Training Academy plead not guilty to operating an illegal clinic, with potential fines of up to RM500,000.

The Penang sessions court charged RR Beaute Solution and CTA Training Academy under Section 4(1) of the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998.

Two companies pleaded not guilty at the sessions court here today to operating an unregistered beauty clinic on Jalan Rangoon.

RR Beaute Solution Sdn Bhd and CTA Training Academy Sdn Bhd, each represented by a staff member, entered their pleas after the charge was read before judge Irwan Suainbon.

According to the charge sheet, the companies allegedly operated a private care clinic on Oct 22, 2024 at 10.15am without registering under Section 27 of the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998.

The charge was framed under Section 4(1) of the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998 and is punishable under Section 34 of the Penal Code for committing a criminal act.

If convicted, the companies could face fines of up to RM500,000.

Dr Fikri Fishoul and Shamsulnizam Kassim prosecuted the case on behalf of the health ministry, while V Parthipan represented the two companies.

The court fixed Dec 22 for case management and the submission of case documents.

FMT has learnt that the companies are run by a beauty influencer and her husband.
