
According to the National Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre, the districts at risk in Selangor are Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat and Klang, with flooding expected from today until tomorrow.
Areas near rivers such as Sungai Buloh, Sungai Klang, Sungai Damansara and Sungai Langat are likely to be most affected.
In Kedah, Kubang Pasu, Pendang and Padang Matsirat in Langkawi are forecast to experience flooding until Nov 28.
In Perak, floods are expected to continue until Nov 26, affecting the districts of Kerian, Hulu Perak and Kinta.
As of 1.50pm, the social welfare department’s disaster information portal showed an increase in the number of flood victims which currently stands at 12,416 from 4,398 families housed at 82 temporary relief centres.
Kelantan continues to record the highest number of flood victims, with 9,294 people currently housed at 37 temporary relief centres.
