In a statement, UKM said its management had held discussions with the state government over the unauthorised temple.
“The matter was referred to the state special committee on Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Sikh and Taoist religions in Selangor (Limas).
“Therefore, UKM needs to wait for feedback and further action from the Selangor government before any further steps can be executed,” it said.
UKM expressed hope that the issue would be resolved quickly, yet cautiously without any aggressive or hasty actions being taken by any party.
“UKM urges all parties not to speculate on this matter as it can cause confusion or tensions within the community.”
