Kuching police chief Alexson Naga Chabu said police received a report from the public at about 1.55pm about an unconscious woman in a vehicle.
“A police team was immediately dispatched to the scene, where they found the woman lying motionless in the driver’s seat.
“Firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya fire station were called in to help open the vehicle’s door, which was locked from the inside,” Bernama reported him as saying.
Alexson said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical assistant.
The body was later sent to Sarawak General Hospital’s forensic department for a post-mortem.
“Preliminary investigations found no criminal elements, and the case has been classified as sudden death,” he said.
