Cops on hunt for Kuala Langat armed robbery suspects

PETALING JAYA:
Police are on the hunt for a group of men believed to be involved in the armed robbery of a woman and her husband in Sungai Jarom, Kuala Langat, Selangor, yesterday evening.

Kuala Langat police chief Akmalrizal Radzi said police received a report from a 48-year-old woman, who runs a restaurant in the area, claiming she had been robbed by a group of men, including one who was armed with a parang.

He said according to the report, three suspects wearing masks robbed the woman of several items of jewellery.

“Another suspect was waiting in the car. They took a gold necklace belonging to the complainant’s husband, as well as two gold chains and two gold rings belonging to the complainant.

“The complainant was uninjured. Her losses are estimated to be worth around RM10,000,” Bernama reported him as saying.

Akmalrizal urged members of the public with information to contact the Kuala Langat police headquarters at 03-3187 2222 to aid the investigation.
