AirAsia offers RM299 fixed fares for Sabah voters ahead of state polls

The airline said the promotional fares apply to selected flights between Nov 26 and 28, covering more than 3,000 seats across eight routes.

AirAsia is offering fixed one-way fares of RM299 for flights from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah to help voters return home for the state election on Nov 29.

The promotional fares apply to selected flights between Nov 26 and Nov 28, covering more than 3,000 seats across eight routes.

The offer covers flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau and Labuan; Johor Bahru to Kota Kinabalu and Tawau; as well as Kota Bharu and Penang to Kota Kinabalu.

The airline said the initiative reflects its commitment to support Malaysians during important national moments.

“As the people’s airline, we have always stood alongside the communities we serve,” CEO Fareh Mazputra said in a statement today.

“Elections are moments that bring communities together to shape the future and this initiative is our way of making it more affordable for people to return home and take part in the polls.”

He added that Sabah remains one of AirAsia’s most important domestic markets, noting the airline’s efforts over the years to strengthen connectivity through affordable fares and initiatives such as festival-fixed fares and FLYsiswa.

The promotional flights are available for booking from today until Oct 26 via airasia.com and the AirAsia MOVE app.
