
PETALING JAYA: Four teenage boys were charged in the Baling children’s court today with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old female student.
They were alleged to have committed the offences in June, July and August at an oil palm plantation in Siong and at a classroom in Baling, Kedah, Berita Harian reported.
All four pleaded not guilty after the charges were read to them.
They were charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 20 years and whipping, if convicted.
The prosecution was conducted by Amirul Halimi Salleh, while the accused were not represented.
The court allowed all the accused bail of RM3,000 each with one surety and set Nov 27 for the next mention of the case.
