PETALING JAYA: Four teenagers suspected of the statutory rape of a 15-year-old girl, and of distributing sexual videos of her will be charged in Baling tomorrow.
Acting Baling police chief Ahmad Salimi Ali said they have received prosecution instructions from the deputy public prosecutor for the suspects, aged 15 to 17.
He said they will be charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 for sexual assault of a child, Berita Harian reported.
On Oct 16, Kedah police chief Adzli Abu Shah said the case, initially reported as a gang rape, had been reclassified as statutory rape.
He said the suspects were from the same school.
