PETALING JAYA: Universiti Malaysia Sabah is expected to reschedule its 27th convocation ceremony to avoid a clash with the state assembly elections on Nov 29.
The new date for the graduation ceremony will be announced soon, the university said in a statement.
The change was to allow members of the university community, graduates, and the public to fulfil their civic duty as voters, it said.
The convocation was scheduled for Nov 29-Dec 2.
The Election Commission announced yesterday that the Sabah state elections will be held on Nov 29, with nomination day fixed for Nov 15 and early voting on Nov 25.
