Nor Aleeya Suhadah, 22, and Muahmad Mohtar, 25, claimed trial after they were charged separately before judge N Kanageswari, Sinar Harian reported.
The couple was charged with committing the offence on the victim, who is in Year 3, in the female toilet of the school between 9.30am and 10.30am on Oct 7.
The charge was framed under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 which provides for up to 20 years in prison and whipping upon conviction.
Deputy public prosecutor Norazihah Asmuni prosecuted while lawyer Norfazrin Jamal acted for Aleeya. Muahmad was unrepresented.
Norazihah proposed bail of RM30,000 for both accused but Norfazrin sought a lower amount, saying her client only earned RM1,600 a month and had to look after her parents and four younger siblings who are still in school.
The court fixed bail at RM30,000 each and set Nov 17 for case mention.
