Gulam Muszaffar relinquished the post after announcing that Batu Umno had cut ties with Pakatan Harapan in the federal territories over the alleged unfair allocation of residents’ representative council subzones.
‘Fragile’ Deepavali bazaar tents to be replaced
Zaliha said 118 sturdier tents would be set up tonight to replace the “fragile” tents that were installed for the Deepavali bazaar in Brickfields.
The minister said the issue came down to miscommunication with Kuala Lumpur City Hall.
Previously, MIC deputy president M Saravanan expressed dissatisfaction over the tents that had been set up, saying they were flimsy and fell apart quickly in mild thunderstorms.
