
PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a Myanmar couple and two of their friends to assist in an investigation into the murder of a compatriot at a workers’ quarters in Gua Musang, Kelantan, on Sept 10.
Police are investigating the motive of jealousy in the case, Sinar Harian reported Kelantan police chief Yusoff Mamat as saying.
Yusoff said the arrests were made in a raid on the workers’ quarters at about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Police seized a parang, six mobile phones, a shirt and trousers. All those arrested did not have valid travel documents.
According to Gua Musang police chief Sik Choon Foo, the victim was found dead near the quarters with stab wounds to the neck and left chest.
