SIK: A 16-year-old male student drowned while bathing at the Lata Mengkuang waterfall near here with some friends today.
The Kedah fire and rescue department said it received an emergency call about the incident at 1.16pm.
The victim, Hanif Anaqi Khalid, was found unconscious by members of the public and later confirmed dead by medical officers.
The victim had gone to the waterfall with six friends. The body was handed over to the police for further action.
