KOTA BHARU: A 36-year-old man has been arrested after a person in a cartoon costume was seen hugging, kissing, and inappropriately touching a six-year-old girl at a playground in Bachok.
Bachok deputy police chief Azrie Sulaiman said that the incident occurred at approximately 6.20pm at Pantai Irama and was recorded by a member of the public.
A medical examination confirmed that the girl suffered no physical injuries.
The suspect has been remanded for seven days until Sept 18 for further investigation, Azrie said.
