SHAH ALAM:
Police are in the final stage of completing the investigation paper on a Form 3 student who fell from a school dormitory in Sabak Bernam on Aug 24.

Selangor police chief Shazeli Kahar said the investigation included a detailed examination of the scene and analysis of dormitory CCTV footage.

He said several individuals had been called to give their statements, which had provided useful leads for the case.

“The investigation has been actively pursued and on-site checks have been completed. The investigation paper is being updated before it is referred to the state prosecution office for further advice and action,” he told a press conference here today.

Shazeli said it was too early to confirm whether the case involved elements of bullying, pending a full briefing to the prosecution office.

He added that the victim remains hospitalised and unconscious.

“No arrests have been made, but several positive leads have been identified based on witness statements,” he said, adding that the case is being investigated under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001.

On Aug 24, it was reported that Ahmad Irfan Ahmad Hanafi, 15, had sustained serious injuries after falling from the third floor of his dormitory in an incident suspected to be linked to bullying.
