PETALING JAYA:
KPJ Healthcare Bhd and LAC Medical Supplies Sdn Bhd are partnering up to roll out a centralised platform for storing, accessing and sharing medical imaging data across its nationwide network of 30 hospitals.

The new enterprise picture archiving and communication system (PACS) solution will be supplied and implemented by LAC Medical Supplies and will connect KPJ hospitals on a single imaging platform.

KPJ Healthcare director and president Chin Keat Chyuan said PACS will enable collaboration between clinicians and provide patients with convenient, secure access to their medical imaging results.

“This initiative marks a milestone and a step forward in the KPJ Health System transformation journey, moving us towards a more connected and patient-centred model of care.

“By linking medical imaging across all 30 hospitals, with plans to integrate it into the KPJ Cares app, we are enhancing patient access, supporting clinical collaboration and building a system that is more efficient and responsive,” he said.

Chin said this after witnessing the signing of a multi-year agreement between KPJ Healthcare and LAC Medical Supplies at Menara KPJ, in Kuala Lumpur.

LAC Medical Supplies CEO Liew Yoon Poh said the company was proud to support KPJ’s enterprise imaging programme as part of their digital transformation journey.

“This subscription-based approach is designed to deliver measurable value in terms of clinical efficiency, patient experience and operational performance.”
