PETALING JAYA: Police are investigating an incident in which a boy is seen in a video being kicked in the stomach by another boy at a housing area in Johor.
Seri Alam police chief Sohaimi Ishak said a report was made by the victim’s 33-year-old mother.
“An investigation found that the incident took place on July 14 at 2.03pm, under a housing block at Molek Ria, Jalan Persiaran Bumi Hijau, Johor,” he said in a statement.
The woman claimed her son was kicked in the stomach by a boy believed to be staying in the same housing area.
Sohaimi said the case is being investigated for voluntarily causing hurt.
He said the video of the incident, which has been removed, was uploaded on Facebook by one “Doe John”.
Harian Metro reported earlier that the video, which had gone viral, showed four boys approaching the victim, with one of them kicking him in the stomach before they fled the scene.
