Fadhlina orders probe into alleged bullying case in 2023

Education minister Fadhlina Sidek has ordered an investigation into allegations that a student at a school in Sabah was bullied in 2023, resulting in his admission to hospital.

In a Facebook post, Fadhlina said she had ordered the Sabah education department to immediately investigate the allegations.

“At the same time, I call on the child’s parents or caretakers to step forward and file a report with the Sabah education department or police so that an investigation can be launched and action can be taken.

“The education ministry does not compromise on bullying. It must be curbed at all levels,” the minister added.
