PETALING JAYA:
Police have arrested two 13-year-old students to assist in an investigation into the alleged bullying of a female Form 1 student at a secondary school in Sungai Petani, Kedah.

Buletin TV3 reported that the 13-year-old girl was found last Monday in a school toilet, gagged with a handkerchief, and her hands and feet bound with neckties.

The girl’s mother realised something was amiss when she did not show up at the school gate as usual after classes ended at 6.30pm.

The mother and a security guard found her in the toilet after searching all over the school.

The girl was sent to the hospital for treatment for light injuries to her hands and feet.

The mother then lodged a police report.

Kuala Muda police chief Hanyan Ramlan said the two suspects admitted to bullying the girl out of jealousy.

“An investigation is ongoing, and the suspects are being remanded under Sections 323 and 324 of the Penal Code (for voluntarily causing hurt),” he said.
