PETALING JAYA:
Barisan Nasional MPs met Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim last night to discuss the latest developments on current issues and government policies, says BN secretary-general Zambry Abd Kadir.

Zambry said the meeting at Anwar’s official residence in Putrajaya was part of regular engagements with all parties in the unity government, Berita Harian reported.

“I cannot disclose the details of the discussion, but no specific issue was discussed. Instead, it revolved around policies and current matters that required clarification from the prime minister,” he said after officiating the Jeli Umno division delegates meeting today.

“Component parties in the unity government regularly conduct such sessions.”

Bernama reported that the meeting, which lasted more than an hour, ended at about 9.20pm.

Attempts by the media to obtain comments from the MPs were unsuccessful.

Pakatan Harapan MPs and senators have been invited to a meeting with Anwar at his official residence in Putrajaya on July 14.

According to a report in The Star, transport minister Loke Siew Fook said the gathering will include a briefing on judicial appointments, and an opportunity for the lawmakers to ask questions.
