
Kosmo reported that the 46-year-old man made his plea after the charges against him was read before judge Surita Budin.
In the first and second charges under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, he was accused of sexually assaulting his daughter when she was 11 years and 11 months old.
According to the third charge under Section 14(d), he sexually assaulted his daughter when she was 12 years and one month old.
All three charges are punishable under Section 14 read together with Section 16(1) of the same Act.
The offences were allegedly committed in the bedroom of a house in Lukut, Port Dickson, in February and May.
Deputy public prosecutor Nurul Balkis Zunanid offered no bail but proposed that the amount be set at RM50,000 per charge should the court allow it.
She also said the accused should report to the nearest police station once a month, stay away from the victim and witnesses, and surrender his passport to the court.
Defence lawyer V Segaran said the accused no longer lived in the same house as his daughter and was not a flight risk as he had surrendered himself to the police.
He said the accused only earned about RM3,000 a month, had a family to provide for, and would be bailed out by his brother-in-law.
The court fixed bail at RM10,000 per charge, allowed the other applications by the prosecution, and set Aug 15 for re-mention.
