PETALING JAYA: A man in Sungai Nyior, Butterworth, Penang, narrowly escaped death this evening when shots were fired at his four-wheel-drive vehicle by an unidentified assailant.
Sinar Harian reported that in the 5.40pm incident, the man in his 40s was on his way to pick up his son from school.
The portal quoted a source as saying the man was approached by two other men, who then fired several shots at the window of his vehicle.
However, the man did not suffer any injuries. Based on pictures of the incident on social media, at least five shots hit the window of the victim’s vehicle.
Police have yet to release a statement on the matter.
