PETALING JAYA: A labourer was left severely wounded after being stabbed in the abdomen by a friend outside a supermarket in Tawau, Sabah, this morning.
Tawau police chief Jasmin Hussin said the fight was believed to have been sparked by an argument between the men, who were believed to be drunk.
The victim was stabbed with a sharp weapon, which has since been confiscated, Harian Metro reported.
“Police arrested the suspect at the scene at 5pm. The suspect, 37, did not possess any legitimate identification papers,” said Jasmin.
A viral video had shown the victim lying on the ground while still conscious with what looked like his intestines hanging out. He was later rushed to hospital for treatment.
