Teen hit by lorry in fatal crash after fall from motorbike

The 17-year-old vocational college student suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene.

SHAH ALAM:
A Banting vocational college student on his way home to Kanchong, Kuala Langat near here, died after being hit by a lorry following a fall from his motorcycle which skidded at Km32 of Jalan Klang-Banting-Port Dickson, yesterday evening.

Kuala Langat police chief Akmalrizal Radzi said the 17-year-old student suffered serious head injuries and died at the scene.

Preliminary investigations found that the student was travelling  from the direction of Telok Datok heading towards Banting at 5.10pm when he lost control of his motorcycle and fell.

He was then hit by a lorry.

In a statement, Akmalrizal said the lorry driver was not injured.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Those with information on the incident are urged to contact investigating officer Nor Baiti Mustafa at 014-5006072.
