PETALING JAYA: A nine-year-old girl who died in Kota Laksamana, Melaka, earlier this morning is believed to have been abused by her stepfather.
Doctors at a private hospital became suspicious after discovering multiple injuries on the girl, who was brought in unconscious by her stepfather for treatment, Sinar Harian reported.
“She had a broken leg and bruises on her head and body.
“She was in critical condition and is believed to have died while receiving emergency treatment,” the source said.
Police are investigating the case.
