
Also receiving the SPDK are Sabah rural development minister Jahid Jahim and businessmen Ahmad Fuad Md Ali and Lim Yu Ming, Bernama reported. The list was made available to the media today.
They are among 1,015 recipients of state honours in conjunction with the 74th official birthday of the Yang Dipertua Negeri, Musa Aman.
Two federal deputy ministers were among 78 recipients of the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) award, which carries the title of “Datuk”. They are: Fuziah Salleh, deputy minister of domestic trade and cost of living, and Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, deputy minister of tourism, arts and culture.
Other PGDK recipients include Kota Kinabalu High Court Judge Alexander Siew, Senator Anna Bell @ Suzieana Perian, Labuan MP Suhaili Abdul Rahman, Kapayan assemblyman Jannie Lasimbang, Pantai Manis assemblyman Mohd Tamin Zainal, Sabah police head of internal security and public order Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek and the Sabah head of Special Branch, Abdul Rahman Ishak; the commander of the 13th Infantry Brigade, Brig Gen Jagjit Singh Indar Singh; Sabah state director of health Dr Maria Suleiman; Sabah Parks director Maklarin Lakim; Football Association of Malaysia president, Joehari Mohd Ayub; and Sabah Islamic religious council chief executive officer, Ramlan Awang Ali.
A total of 274 individuals were conferred the Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu, 181 received the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu, 248 the Bintang Setia Kinabalu, 285 the Bintang Kinabalu, 109 the Perkhidmatan Terpuji award, and 10 were made Jaksa Pendamai (Justices of the Peace).
They will receive their awards at an investiture ceremony tomorrow.
