PETALING JAYA:
A woman died after she was flung out of her car following a collision with a school van at KM4 Jalan Skudai-Pantai Lido in Johor Bahru today.

Johor Bahru Selatan police chief Raub Selamat said the accident involving the car driven by the 39-year-old woman and a school van driven by a 60-year-old man occurred at about 6.55am.

He said an initial investigation found that the woman had lost control of her car, which collided with the rear right end of the van.

“The impact threw her out of her vehicle, which spun before crashing to the left side of the road.

“She suffered a severe head injury and was confirmed dead at the scene,” Harian Metro quoted him as saying.

The van driver and the students inside the vehicle were not injured.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
