A decomposed body was found hanging from a tree in a palm oil plantation in Trolak, Perak, yesterday.

Muallim police chief Hasni Nasir said a local resident who was searching for his cattle discovered the naked body hanging from a tree about 10m from the plantation’s main road, reported Sinar Harian.

“No identification documents were found, but a woman’s bra and a pair of blue slippers were found near the body,” he said.

Hasni said a traditional Indian necklace or thaali, usually worn by married Hindu women, was also found around the neck of the deceased.

The body was sent to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh for a post-mortem.

The case has been classified as sudden death pending the post-mortem results.

Hasni urged those who might have lost a family member, relative, or friend to come forward to assist with the investigation and identification process.
