Perak police chief Noor Hisam Nordin said the drugs were found in a Honda HRV following a public complaint.
“We found 80 transparent plastic packets suspected to be methamphetamine weighing 82.8kg and 39 transparent packets of ketamine weighing 40.4kg.
“The seizure of these drugs is among the biggest by Perak police this year,” he told a press conference at the state police headquarters here today.
He said the driver or passenger of the car could not be located, and that the vehicle was identified as a cloned car based on a check of the engine number.
Noor Hisam said the drugs were meant for the local market and could have been used by an estimated 350,000 drug addicts.
He said the case would be investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
