Bodies of couple in Tanjung Harapan boat tragedy found

PETALING JAYA:
The bodies of a couple who went missing after their boat capsized off Tanjung Harapan, Klang, have been found.

Selangor Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) enforcement and excise unit operations officer Syafiq Sazali said the bodies were found floating at 7.42am, about 0.1 nautical mile from Northport in Port Klang, reported Harian Metro.

The bodies of Gan Hon Tat, 32, and his wife, Careen Man, 29, were located about 200m apart, the report said.

Their boat capsized on Friday evening.

The couple’s three-year-old son, Darren, and family friends Cheu Son Hin, 50, and Fong Yong Sen, 29, were found dead in the boat.

The sole survivor was 17-year-old Chang Yan Qin.
