The suspect had surrendered himself at the Gombak police headquarters yesterday and has been remanded, Harian Metro reported.

Siti Kamsiah Hassan, principal assistant director of Bukit Aman’s sexual, women and child investigation division, confirmed that the man was under investigation over his messages to the teenager.

The suspect’s alleged actions reportedly came to light after the teen’s mother contacted Malaysian rapper Ariz Ramli, better known as Caprice, for help.

The influencer was also alleged to have sent a lewd picture to the teenager, purportedly to show a scar he received from an operation. He is said to have apologised to the teen’s mother over the issue.
