At a press conference today, Azam said the report prepared by MACC’s forensics department was submitted to the case’s investigating officer about a week ago.
He said the investigating officer had been instructed to question all individuals connected to the videos to verify the contents, which he said was essential before any further action could be taken.
“I’ve instructed the investigating officer to gather fresh statements from everyone involved,” he said.
He said that once the statements had been collected, the deputy public prosecutor could review the investigation from all angles.
Azam declined to comment when asked about the videos’ authenticity.

The videos allegedly depict discussions involving bribery and misconduct related to mineral exploration projects in Sabah.
In February, Azam said the initial batch of videos lacked credibility as they were heavily edited.
