Dang Wangi police chief Sulizmie Affendy Sulaiman said a member of the public made a 999 call at about 3.45pm today reporting that they could see the body among some trees opposite the cafe.

An investigation found that the body had started to decompose. The age and ethnicity of the deceased could not be determined.

“The deceased was wearing a grey t-shirt, light blue shorts (with) a belt and blue slippers. There were wounds on the neck. No identification documents were found on the body,” Sulizmie said in a statement.

The body has been taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital, where a post-mortem will be conducted tomorrow.
