PETALING JAYA:
Police are on the hunt for 11 more suspects believed to be involved in a brawl that claimed the life of a man at an entertainment outlet in Bintulu, Sarawak, on April 27.

Bintulu police chief Nixon Joshua Ali said nine individuals – eight men and one woman aged in their 20s to 40s – have been arrested and remanded to assist in the investigation, Bernama reported.

“Our investigation revealed that there are 11 more suspects still at large. Police will not compromise and will remain committed to tracking down all the suspects,” he was quoted as saying in a statement last night.

The 28-year-old victim was reportedly found bleeding outside the entertainment outlet at 1am.

He was taken to a private hospital before being sent to Bintulu Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

Nixon also urged the public not to spread unverified information or speculate on the case.
