PETALING JAYA:
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has opened an internal investigation after one of its officers was found at an entertainment outlet in Kuala Lumpur during a police raid.

In a statement, the anti-graft agency said it will provide its full cooperation to the police, which is still completing its own investigation into the operation.

“MACC has opened an internal investigation to determine whether there was any breach of the commission’s code of ethics or the law,” it said in a statement.

“MACC will not compromise if any of its officers are found to have violated the law or tarnished the commission’s integrity.”

It is understood that a policeman and several immigration officers were also present at the entertainment outlet in Bukit Bintang during the April 14 raid.
