PETALING JAYA:
Pos Malaysia Bhd CEO Charles Brewer has apologised to a postman for making a snide remark over his torn uniform.

The mailman reportedly took to an internal employee engagement platform to ask when he would be getting his new uniform, as his current one had been badly worn out with even customers pointing it out.

Brewer responded on the platform: “Count yourself lucky that you don’t work for one of the foreign carriers that don’t provide uniforms at all.”

Exasperated, the mailman posted Brewer’s reply on social media, prompting netizens to lash out at the Pos Malaysia CEO.

According to Bernama, Pos Malaysia said Brewer has “humbly apologised” to the staff member involved and acknowledged that his response should have been more empathetic.

“With a strong determination, he has promised to build a work culture that mutually respects and supports all Pos Malaysia employees,” the company said.

It added that the issue has been resolved amicably and that Brewer hoped to ensure that all staff members can serve comfortably.
