PETALING JAYA: The chairmen of Kelantan and Terengganu PKR have retained their positions as head of their respective divisions at the divisional elections today.
Kelantan PKR chairman Suparadi Noor defended his position as Tanah Merah chief with 1,108 votes, defeating Hanuzi Zaharim (351 votes).
Terengganu PKR chairman Ahmad Nazri Yusof retained his post as Kemaman PKR chief after winning 383 votes, defeating Amir Hamzah Ghazali (370 votes), Hasuni Sudin (244), and Saikri Ngah@Choh (92).
Nearly 30,000 PKR members in Terengganu and Kelantan cast their votes today in a hybrid voting process which was held both physically and online, and took place from 8am to 5pm.
PKR divisions in the federal territories, Pahang, Penang, Johor, and Sabah will vote on Sunday, while those in Selangor, Melaka, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Perlis and Sarawak held the elections from April 11-13.
