
Aminuddin, a PKR vice-president, successfully defended his position as Port Dickson PKR chief after winning 2,147 votes, beating former Negeri Sembilan PKR deputy chairman M Ravi, who had 1,098 votes.
Another PKR vice-president, Chang Lih Kang, won the Tanjung Malim PKR chief’s post uncontested.
Chang is Tanjung Malim MP and minister for science, technology and innovation.
In Padang Rengas, PKR Youth deputy chief Kamil Munim won the contest for division chief after securing 532 votes to Lukman Yahaya’s 82.
Kamil is Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary in his capacity as finance minister.
Others who won division chief posts in Negeri Sembilan included V Raja (Tampin), Jufitri Joha (Rembau), Ahmad Izzuddin Ismail (Rasah), and Ismail Nor (Kuala Pilah).
Division chief winners in Perak included K Novinthen (Sungai Siput), Ahmad Safwan Mohamad (Gerik), Tahirudin Pooty (Lenggong), Fairuz Saari (Larut), and Beh Yong Kean (Parit Buntar).
The PKR division-level elections are being held from April 11-20, followed by the central leadership elections on May 24.
