
Nga also rubbished claims that representatives from his ministry had not gone to the ground since the incident on April 1, Utusan Malaysia reported.
“There is no need to entertain these allegations. What is important is that we resolve the issues affecting the people,” he was quoted as saying.
Nga also said that to date, every ministry had channelled aid, citing the distribution of phones and tablets by the digital ministry and the free bus rides provided by the education ministry.
Nga, the deputy DAP chairman, also said that his party had collected funds for the victims.
“Everyone is chipping in, so let’s focus on coming up with a comprehensive solution.”
The Petronas gas pipeline fire which broke out at 8.10am last Tuesday partially damaged 148 homes and destroyed 87 others.
It also injured 146 people, 38 of whom are still undergoing treatment.
