
PETALING JAYA: The head of a government department branch in Kelantan has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on suspicion of abuse of power involving a project worth RM100,000 to upgrade facilities in Gua Musang.
An MACC source said the suspect, aged 43, was detained at 6pm today for allegedly abusing his power by recommending the project, Bernama reported.
He is expected to be taken to the Gua Musang magistrates’ court tomorrow morning to be remanded.
Kelantan MACC director Rosli Husain reportedly confirmed the arrest.
