10-tonne lorry lands on its side, crushing driver in Serendah

The 36-year-old driver was getting out from the lorry after unloading soil when it suddenly tilted.

PETALING JAYA:
A man was crushed to death by a 10-tonne lorry at a construction site in Antara Gapi, Serendah, Selangor, yesterday.

Hulu Selangor deputy police chief Asri Yunus said the 36-year-old lorry driver had just finished unloading soil from the vehicle when it suddenly tilted at about 2pm.

“The lorry tilted to its right. At that time, the driver was getting out of the lorry and was crushed,” Bernama quoted him as saying today.

The body was taken to the Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital’s forensic unit for a post-mortem.
