Bukit Aman announces transfers of 39 senior officers

They include the appointment of new deputy police chiefs for Kuala Lumpur, Pahang and Johor.

Bukit Aman today announced the transfer of 39 senior police officers, some of which involved movements within the federal police headquarters itself, effective last Friday.

Bukit Aman secretary Kamaruzaman Abdullah announced that Bukit Aman criminal investigation department (CID) deputy director (investigation and legal) Usuf Jan Mohamad is the new Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief, Bernama reported.

He added that the previous KL deputy police chief, Azry Akmar Ayob, has been transferred to Pahang as the state deputy police chief.

Meanwhile, Abdul Latiff Mehat, who served as Bukit Aman CID (D14) principal assistant director of organised crime investigation, has been appointed Johor deputy police chief.

“Bukit Aman Special Branch E9 principal assistant director Aida Abdul Hamid has been appointed as the principal assistant director for Bukit Aman Special Branch E6.

“Meanwhile, Bukit Aman Special Branch E3 principal assistant director Hairuddin Che Hamid has been appointed as the principal assistant director for Special Branch E7 at Bukit Aman,” Kamaruzaman said in a statement.

He added that Bukit Aman Special Branch E6 principal assistant director Azhar Sepawi is now the Bukit Aman Special Branch E3 principal assistant director.

In another move within the federal police headquarters, Kamaruzaman said Bukit Aman CID principal assistant director (prosecution and legal) Zainal Abdullah has been appointed Bukit Aman CID deputy director (for investigation and legal).

“Bukit Aman logistics and technology department deputy director (for finance, procurement and general policing), Shamsul Amar Ramli, is now Bukit Aman Commercial CID deputy director (on cyber crime investigation),” he said, according to Bernama.

“Bukit Aman Special Branch E6A assistant director Yusni Mohd Jamil has been appointed Bukit Aman Special Branch E5 principal assistant director.”
