PETALING JAYA:
Four men killed a Myanmar national working at a nasi kandar restaurant in Penang in a parang attack early this morning.

Seberang Perai Utara police chief Anuar Abdul Rahman said the attack on the victim, a Myanmar national, happened at about 3.20am at Taman Sepadu Jaya in Tasek Gelugor.

The four attackers are believed to be Malaysians. He said early investigations found that the four wore hats and face coverings when they attacked the victim while he was working.

“The victim attempted to flee, but all four attackers pursued him and hacked him on the head, arms, and body,” he said, according to Sinar Harian.

Anuar said the victim collapsed and the attackers fled in a dark-coloured vehicle.

“The attackers have yet to be identified, and the police are actively working to track them down,” he added.

He urged those with information on the case to contact investigating officer Shuheri Abdul Rani at 04-5762222 or report to the nearest police station.
