JAKARTA: The Indonesian government has cut domestic airfare prices by 13%-14% to allow people to travel to their hometowns for the Aidilfitri holidays.
The lower fares on economy-class flights will be available from March 24 to April 7.
The price reduction comes from a partial government subsidy on the value-added tax for domestic economy-class flights.
The transport ministry said it would ensure sufficient flight capacity during the holiday period.
