Premier Abang Johari Openg said he had not received any dates for the discussion, Bernama reported.
“If anyone calls for a discussion, I will come. The important thing is there is (an effort to discuss) and there is good collaboration between us,” he said after officiating the launch of a dental clinic in Kuching today.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said discussions would cover various aspects of cooperation, including new projects explored by both companies in any field.
Anwar also said at a Dewan Rakyat briefing session on Monday the federal government acknowledged Sarawak’s aspirations to engage in the state’s oil and gas industry.
He said this aspiration was enshrined in the Distribution of Gas Ordinance 2016 (Amendment), which comes into effect on March 1.
