
PETALING JAYA: Former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, 65, was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious early this morning.
His aide, Ikhmal Hakim, confirmed the matter in a brief message.
“Yes. Please pray for his recovery,” he told FMT.
“We have yet to find out the cause. Waiting for (the doctor’s) report.”
One of Ismail’s aides, Azran Fitri Rahim, confirmed the incident in a Facebook post, saying that Ismail was taken to Sunway Medical Centre in Kota Damansara at 2.30am.
Attached to the post was a picture of the former prime minister resting in a hospital bed.
It is understood that his condition is currently stable and he is with his family.
Ismail served as the ninth prime minister from 2021 to 2022. He is also currently the Bera MP.
