
PETALING JAYA: A minor 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck Kota Marudu, Sabah, at 10.39am today, says the meteorological department (MetMalaysia).
MetMalaysia said the epicentre of the earthquake was located at 6.3°N and 116.8°E with a depth of 10km.
In a Facebook post, it said the earthquake occurred approximately 27km south of Kota Marudu and that tremors may have been felt in the district.
“The department will continue to monitor the situation.”
