KANGAR:
The Perlis Football Association has failed to obtain an injunction to prevent the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) from conducting its 61st congress on Feb 15.

Perlis FA president Zamri Ibrahim said the High Court here rejected the association’s application, and Justice Arik Sanusi Yeop Johari ordered the suit to be referred for arbitration.

The association had sought an injunction, naming 20 defendants, including FAM president Hamidin Amin, vice-president Joehari Ayub and the sports commissioner. It also sought to challenge FAM’s decision in December to suspend the association as an affiliate.
