
PETALING JAYA: A man’s body was retrieved from a river in Pantai Dalam, Kuala Lumpur, by the fire and rescue department today.
In a statement, the Kuala Lumpur fire and rescue department said it received an emergency call about a body near Block 94 of the Kampung Limau People’s Housing Project (PPR) at 11.34am.
Upon arrival at the scene, the team discovered the body of a man floating in the river.
The rescue personnel used ropes and a stretcher to retrieve the body at 12.33pm.
The body was handed over to the police for further action.
The fire and rescue department said the man was believed to be a Malaysian.
