Nor Azrina Surip, the political secretary to federal territories minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa, lodged her report in Putrajaya, Bernama reported.

Nor Azrina said Khairy’s alleged slanderous statement stemmed from a 3-minute, 14-second video shared in a WhatsApp group saying Zaliha should have been aware of the document’s existence.

“Zaliha issued a statement yesterday, clarifying that she had never seen the document in question,” she said.

It was previously reported that Suraya Yaacob, the political secretary to law and institutional reform minister Azalina Othman Said, had lodged a police report against Khairy for claiming that Azalina had conspired to “hide” the addendum.

Suraya said Khairy’s alleged statement was not only false but had also smeared Azalina’s image.

Khairy allegedly made the claim on his Keluar Sekejap podcast, which he co-hosts with former Umno information chief Shahril Hamdan.
